Green Sichuan Pepper Shrimps and Avocado Salad Bowl

How to better use ChinEAT Green Sichuan Pepper and oil? Try them on your salad!

Occasionally we must stick with the diet. But going for healthy food does not necessarily mean making huge compromises with tastes and flavors. Not at all as we unlock the magic of Sichuan peppers. We decided to create a simple recipe, a salad bowl, that can make you veggies stand out and taste great. Check this out.

INGREDIENTS: 

Salad leaves (mix) 150g

Cherry tomatoes (around 50g)

Cucumbers (50g)

Rocket salad (50g)

Poached Egg (1)

Avocado (2)

Shrimps (100g)

ChinEAT Green Sichuan Peppercorns (grounded) (a pinch)

•ChinEAT Green Sichuan Pepper Oil

Extra virgin olive oil

Salt (a pinch)

Balsamic vinegar (1 tbsp, optional)

Sesame oil (1 tsp, optional)

Water

PREPARATION:

[1] Rinse all the veggies and set aside.

[2] Cut the tomatoes and cucumbers into thin slices.

[3] Set apart rocket salad from the remaining mix of salad leaves.

[4] Prepare your poached eggs in a few steps:

a)set aside some iced water;

b)filter the cracked egg removing watery egg white part;

c)add in some boiling water 1tbsp of white vinegar;

d)control the heat by letting the water keep hot but without bubbles on the surface;

e)create a vortex with a fork;

f)pour in the filtered egg;

g)cook for 3 minutes;

h)remove and place into the iced water to cool down.

[5] Cut an avocado into slices and set aside.

[6] Peel the remaining avocado and set into a mixer with a pinch of salt, 50ml of water and 1 tbsp of Green Sichuan Pepper Oil. Set your numbing avocado sauce aside.

[7] Take the shrimps and marinade with Grounded Green Sichuan Pepper, salt, and Green Sichuan Pepper Oil (1 tbsp). Then stir into a pan for few minutes until cooked and set aside.

ASSEMBLY:

[1] Take an empty salad bowl and start by placing in a layer of rocket salad, then some salad leaves, tomatoes, and cucumbers.

[2] Add in a pinch of salt with some Green Sichuan Pepper Oil (1 tbsp), and 2 tbsp of extra virgin olive oil.

[3] Repeat step n.1 with another layer.

[4] Place your poached egg on the top, with the avocado slices and shrimps. Then pour your avocado sauce, some Grounded Green Sichuan Pepper and a pinch of salt.

[5] Crack the poached egg, mix well!

Your salad is ready!
